I am an American who presently lives in Germany. I have several Russian friends who work here in Germany and through them I have meant a very wonderful woman. I must say that getting to know each other happened during a chance meeting and nothing either of us expected. Not as is the case with many Americans I know. I am now traveling to Nizhny Novgorod to see her and would like to know what would be considered an appropriate present for our situation. We are in the early stages of a romantic relationship. This being the case I don’t want to give something generic, but I also don’t want something that says lets get married. Any other advice that would be considered common sense in Russian society would also be appreciated. Thank you for your time, Troy |
